Teddy's Tough Love (aka Dragon's Patience)

Long time Half-dozen followers may remember the post in which I featured photos of my four youngest girls each individually sitting on Dragon. They were not isolated incidents or occasional occurrences. It does happen frequently, and Dragon doesn't usually mind - as in this photo.Despite often referring to his little sisters as "..those annoying little nuisances.." Dragon really does love them.He can summon infinite amounts of patience when he so chooses.Rarely does he throw me a beseeching look that pleads for intervention.Truly, he can put up with a lot of Teddy's tough love when he's in a good mood. This particular series of photos were taken when he was trying to watch the only half-hour of TV he is allowed on weekdays, which makes his forbearance even more laudable.

Now, talking about putting up with a lot from the people we love .... those dirty school socks Mousie was wearing in the first photo - where do you think she put them later that evening?

In the dirty clothes hamper? (Hahaha!!! What a joke!)

On the bedroom floor? (Always a possibility.)

Under the kitchen table? (This happens a lot.)

One in the hallway and one in the living room? (I've seen that before.)

Back in the drawer with the clean socks? (Yes *sigh* this has happened too.)

But no one could have anticipated what I found when I was doing my nightly 'rounds' before going to bed that evening. She hung her dirty school socks on the sliding door, one on each side. She actually slotted the edge of them in between the door and wall (where the door slides into the wall).

What I want to know is this - how can carefully wedging your school socks on the sliding door possibly be easier and/or quicker than just walking the extra 5 steps to the bathroom and putting them in the dirty clothes hamper?

He is such a sweet big brother to put up with that!

He only gets a half hour of TV and he puts up with a little sister. Give that boy an another half hour for a reward.

Okay, that is the best place I've seen for dirty socks. It may not have been easier but it was probably more fun. LOL!

Wow. I thought maybe Dragon was in time out in the 1st picture! lol!

I typically find individual dirty socks in toy box, under the couch, behind the chairs. Never on either side of a door (yet!).

Dragon has become my pin up boy.
My own lads will hear obout this brotherly love!
Socks? At least they are a pair. Let's not get too picky about where they end up as long as there are two and they match - great!

I would love to know the same thing - I find dirty clothes in the strangest places & I think it would be much easier to just put them in the dirty clothes basket!!!
Dragon is very patient with his sisters there - what a good big brother!

What a sweetie Dragon is!

Putting those socks in the dirty clothes would be no where near as fun as seeing if you can wedge them into the door.

Patience...he must have a ton. My older brother had very little. The sock story cracked me up.

I love Dragon's face and his concentration.
The socks have made me chuckle. I think I'll share with Brett but not with the boys. I think it would appeal.

Wow, I just find dirty socks at the back door, under the bed, and on the living room floor. You must wonder what she was thinking, sticking them there?

A VERY loving brother for sure!

Last night we had overnight guests. So Tessa and I took my teen boy's beds. She found a pair of dirty socks under the pillow. The look on her face was priceless! :)

My second thought after "Eeeeeew" was "At least its a PAIR!". Dont think Tessa seen it that way tho!! lol

I used to purposely keep my room messy because my mother would interfere in my room and it made her nuts to see it messy. It was my way of getting back. Yes, even as a real young girl. Now a messy space makes me nuts.
